Ek Chalis Ki Last Local 2007 (bollywood)

EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL is about two people who miss the last local train at 1.40 a.m. to Vikhroli and have full two-and-a-half hours before the next local will arrive. The tale revolves around Nilesh (Abhay Deol), a call center executive, and how missing the last train home proves to be a significant episode in his life. Nilesh bumps into Madhu (Neha Dhupia), who has also missed her train on the same station and because there is an auto strike, the duo finds themselves getting together and soon seated in a desi bar for some time pass before their next train. EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL unravels in the most natural manner. The characters are straight out of life and the situations they land into are identifiable by those living in a metropolis, especially Mumbai. But the film doesn't catch your attention from the very start. The goings-on get exciting when Abhay and Neha enter a bar and Abhay starts gambling to make a fast buck. A few portions episodes in the story raise the bar, like the gambling sequence and also when Neha lands up at Snehal Dabhi's house to pay off the ransom amount. Also, the sequences involving Deepak Shirke and Abhay Deol may appear crass, but are bound to raise laughs.

Ta Ra Rum Pum 2007 (bollywood)

Rajveer Singh (Saif Ali Khan) has an immense passion for driving and dreams of making it big on the racecourse. He is discovered by his manager Harry (Jaaved Jaffrey). In a sudden twist of fate, he meets Radhika Shekar Rai Banerjee (Rani Mukerji) and instantly falls for her. He joins Speeding Saddles - a failing race team and transforms from Rajveer Singh to RV the race car driver.

What started as an innocent love blossoms into a serious relationship as months pass by. Radhika is a great pianist, majoring in music at Columbia University, whereas Rajveer has no degree or any educational background. His lack of education instantly earns the disapproval of Radhika's father, Subho Shekar Roy Banerjee (Victor Banerjee). Radhika walks out of her big mansion and marries RV. She forgets about her degree and takes on her job as a housewife therefore Radhika Shekar Rai Banerjee turns into Shona. Their family is complete with the birth of two children - Priya (Angelina Idnani) and Ranveer (Ali Haji). Luck follows him as RV and he is soon proclaimed the number one race car driver in the USA.

However tragedy strikes when RV is involved in an accident whilst racing and he is hospitalized for a few months. He tries to make a comeback but the trauma of the accident mentally scars him. After a string of failures, he is forced to auction his house and move with his family to a run-down Bronx-style neighborhood. RV and Radhika decide to hide the terrible truth from their children by saying that they are part of a reality television show where they have to live a poor life in order to win a mythical grand prize.

The family struggle with their new lifestyle but stick together by using a mixture of fantasy and cheerfulness to pull through. However an incident forces RV to make a decision and reclaim the life that was taken away from him. He goes in a heart pounding race and finally ends up winning. He reclaims everything he had lost and lives happily ever after.

Shootout at Lokhandwala 2007 (bollywood)

The film opens with shots of brooms and dustpans cleaning dried blood and bullet casings in and around Swati building at Lokhandwala Complex[1]. NTV reporter Meeta Matu (Diya Mirza) reports that some 3000 rounds of ammunition were discharged by a large police squad at a previously peaceful residential locality. Why did they do this? Who were they after?

The film moves to the offices of former chief justice turned private prosecutor Dhingra (Amitabh Bachchan) where he interviews the three leading members of the Mumbai Police Anti-Terrorist Squad, Additional Inspector General Shamsher Khan (referring to A A Khan, played by Sanjay Dutt), Senior Inspector Kaviraj Patil (Sunil Shetty) and Head constable Javed Sheikh (Arbaaz Khan). The main film timeline is the extended interview of the three officers by Dhingra; as the officers answer Dhingra's questions, the film flashes back to show the incidents.

Dhingra asks about the Anti-Terrorist Squad. Khan explains that he hand-picked 27 of Mumbai Police's best enlisted men and officers. He borrowed the concept from the LAPD SWAT team to help combat terrorism in the city. The film flashes back to show Khan selecting his men and putting them through intensive training to be "fast, efficient and deadly". Dhingra is hardly impressed: he points out that if Khan chooses to "shoot to kill" then Khan is no different from the terrorists he seeks to destroy.

Dhingra asks why Khan felt he had do this. Khan explains that following Operation Bluestar in 1984, several Sikh terrorists (which is wrong depiction of Sikhs, hence controversial reactions from the sikh community) fled to Mumbai and began establishing a base in the city. They engaged in violence, extortion and other subversive tactics to grow their operations. The film flashes back to show Inspector Abhishek Mhatre (Abhishek Bachchan) pursuing and subsequently getting shot down by a group of Sikh terrorists (which is opposite to Sikh principles and not true depiction, so remember this is just a commercial movie). Khan is deeply frustrated when the city police, mired in internal bureaucracy and corruption, fails to act. He obtains clearance from the police commissioner Krishnamurthy (played by the real A A Khan) and sets out after the militants. Khan asks Meeta Matu to cover the incident so as to deter future terrorists. True to Khan's words, he successfully "encounters" (a practice mistakenly considered unique to Indian Police; it indicates summarily gunning down criminals; 'extra judicial killings' is the term accepted internationally) the terrorists who had shot Inspector Mhatre.

At this point the film segues into the life of Maya (referring to Mumbai gangster Mahindra Dolas though the film never mentions "Dolas" specifically; played by Vivek Oberoi). Maya is the second-in-command of the big boss in Dubai (a clear reference to Dawood Ibrahim though the film does not mention his name at all) and runs Dawood's criminal activities in Mumbai. (It is worth noting that the film does not establish a connection between the Sikh terrorists and Dawood.) Maya recruits Bhua (referring to Dilip Buwa, played by Tusshar Kapoor ) after successfully hatching a plot to eliminate Bhua's old gang led by Ashok Joshi. At this point, Maya and Bhua are at the top of Mumbai's underworld, reporting directly to the big boss in Dubai.

Things heat up when Khan recognizes, through his network of spies and informers, that Maya is responsible for several criminal and possibly terrorist activities. Around this time, Maya's ambitions, fueled by his Aai's (Amrita Singh) insistence, grow to the point where he wishes to assert his independence from Dubai and take over Mumbai himself.

Khan's ATS now focuses on eliminating Maya and Bhua, and begins a dangerous cat-and-mouse game where neither side shows any overt aggression but tries to disable the adversary by tactical maneouver. Khan launches "visits" to the criminals' families to try and "persuade" them to counsel the criminals to surrender. In turn, Maya and his men return the "visit" by approaching the cops at social situations. Maya visits Khan at a restaurant where Khan is having dinner with his family. Maya quietly tells Khan: "This is between your men and mine. Leave the families out of it." Khan retorts: "I did this to give you an opportunity to come clean. But now it appears that any resolution hangs off the barrel of a gun."

Maya's rage intensifies when he gets thrown out by prominent city builder Wadhwani: Maya had demanded 40 lakhs protection money; Wadhwani claimed to deal directly with Dubai. Maya kidnaps Wadhwani's sniveling and overweight kid. When Wadhwani complains, the big boss asks Maya to cut it out and return the kid immediately. Maya quietly informs the boss that he has upped his demands and that he wants to reign supreme in Mumbai.

The film also explores the personal lives of the protagonists. Khan's wife is unable to bear his constant neglect of his family life. She files for divorce. Patil's divorce is nearly upon him, too. In the enemy camp, Buwa has shacked up with a bar dancer Tanu (Aarti Chhabria) but is unable to spend any quality time with her. Fellow criminals Phatu (estranged from his parents) and RC (plagued by ghost-like visions of an innocent family he gunned down) have similar troubles.

It all comes to a head in November 1991. The five criminals including Maya and Buwa secure themselves, while holding Wadhwani's kid, in a flat at Swati building in Lokhandwala. Khan is tipped off of the location by an informant. (In Dhingra's questioning, Khan allegedly also received a call from the big boss in Dubai. Khan vehemently denies this.) Khan assembles a large squad of cops and lays siege to the location. He announces over the bullhorn that residents are advised to stay indoors and bolt their windows.

A long and devastating gun battle begins. The criminals launch RPG(rocket propelled grenade) from their flat and try to escape. But they are overwhelmed by police fire and all five criminals are eventually slain. The battle lays waste to the entire building: film shots show the staircases, hallways and several civilian flats completely pulverized by gunfire. Reporter Meeta Matu covers the action live.

Up to this point, Dhingra has been negative and denigrating of Khan and his efforts with the ATS. He cites press reports and civilian complaints that condemn Khan (and the ATS) of unilateral and unwarranted excessive force in a residential locality. Charges are brought against Khan and the ATS. But when Dhingra rises to defend them as their appointed counsel, he, in a surprising twist, presents an unconventional argument as defense.

The film ends with Khan and the ATS being acquitted.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom 2007 (bollywood)

At Waterloo station in London, two strangers, Rikki Thukral (Abhishek Bachchan) and Alvira Khan (Preity Zinta), wait for their respective fiancés. Rikki is a fun-loving Punjabi boy from Bhatinda who lives in Southall, while Alvira is a middle class Pakistani girl from Lahore who is more assimilated into British culture. The two share a table in a cafe together and to kill the time they talk about how they met their partners-to-be.

Rikki, handsome but primitive in the desi way, says that he met his fiancé, Anaida Raza (Lara Dutta), at the Hôtel Ritz Paris, the same night that Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Al-Fayed left the hotel to take their last journey together. Rikki explains "When two lovers die, another two are born", as he fell in love with Anaida that night. Alvira says she met her fiancé, the dashing lawyer Steve Singh (Bobby Deol) at Madame Tussauds in London when he saved her from death by a falling Superman wax model. The encounter changed her life and she was smitten by the lawyer who also helped her sue Madame Tussauds for substantial damages.

As Rikki and Alvira talk they begin to enjoy each other's company and their different backgrounds cease to matter. They exchange numbers and go to meet their partners. However, it is then revealed that they had not gone to meet their respective partners. Rikki is in fact at the train station to meet his business partner, while Alvira is meeting her relatives. As they leave the station separately, they realize they are in love, but believe their love is unrequited, each of the other.

The two get in touch when Alvira calls Rikki, pretending it was a wrong number. They decide to meet up at a disco where there is a dance competition but both try to maintain the fiction that they are engaged. Out of desperation, Rikki hires Laila, a prostitute, to pose as Anaida, and Alvira asks Satvinder -- a mummy's boy/optician -- to pretend to be Steve (these characters are played by Dutta and Deol, the same actors that played their fictional lovers). The four meet at a club and take part in the dance competition, while throwing insults at each other. Rikki and Laila emerge as the winners but Alvira is jealous and storms out in tears.

Satvinder goes to Rikki's flat and tells him that he has fallen in love with Laila. He also tells him that Alvira is not engaged to him. Rikki, realising what has happened, goes to see Alvira, who is at first moping in bed and later tries to convince her cousin not to marry her. Rikki calls her from a neighbor's window. The two meet in the street and declare their love for each other, sealing it with a long kiss.

Fool 'N Final 2007 (Bollywood)

It is a carbon copy of the movie Snatch starring Brad Pitt.Based on that idea it is a slick diamond robbery takes place in India. The robber is none other than Rocky (Chunky Pandey) who’s the nephew of Chowksi (Gulshan Grover), a Don based in London. Chowksi tells Rocky to sell the diamond to his brother Lalwani (Asrani) in Dubai. Lalwani is a dealer of smuggled gems and jewellery. But he warns Rocky to stay away from guns and gambling, which is his weakness, to ensure nothing goes wrong. On the other hand, the local mafia in Dubai, Moscow Chikna (Arbaaz Khan) is torturing Choubey (Paresh Rawal) because he was unable to return the money he had loaned from Moscow Chikna. Choubey owns a junk shop and was facing major loses. He gets information about the diamond robbery from one of his informants. He is also made aware of the involvement of the International mafia Chowksi. To keep a low profile, Moscow Chikna asks Choubey to get the diamond for him, only after which he will leave him. Choubey gets along with Raja (Shahid Kapoor), a fast robber, and Tina (Ayesha Takia) who’s his niece to plan the robbery of the precious diamond.

Luckee (Vivek Oberoi) and Bob (Suresh Menon) own a small video and game parlour in Dubai. To earn a little extra money they also promote new fighters who want to take part in illegal boxing matches in Dubai.

J.D (Zakir Hussain) is a big underworld Don, who controls all of Dubai's illegal gambling and fights. J.D's men also get girls from India to Dubai promising them jobs. But once in Dubai, the girls are forced to work in dance clubs. One of them is Payal (Sameera Reddy). But Payal manages to escape from there. J.D is very upset as he really likes her. He orders his men to find her.

J.D’s men are looking for Payal in the market place. Right there are Bhabhi (Sharmila Tagore) and Bhaiya (Om Puri) who are quiet shaken when they see Payal being taken away by the men. They call Munna (Sunny Deol), who is Bhaiya’s brother, to save her. Munna enters in a heroic manner and knocks them out. They all then take Payal home. Payal eventually falls in love with Munna.

Munna owns a garage and is known for his strength and power. He is strong and very impulsive. He can knock out anyone and just about anyone in one blow! He doesn't think before getting into a fight because he is aware of his potency. Because of this, he is also approached by Luckee to wrestle with some of the strongest men around.

Bhabhi’s son dies in an accident two years back, which completely shakes her. Munna then finds Raja, who is a look alike of her dead son. Munna hires Raja to play her son for a handsome amount. Raja is anyway a crook and does anything for money. He agrees to do so.

Along with this, Raja is now planning the robbery with Choubey and Tina. They hire Pattu (Johnny Lever), who’s famous for his driving skills, to help them flee after the robbery.

When Rocky lands in Dubai, he gets in touch with Moscow Chikna to buy guns. But he is well aware who Rocky is. He asks Rocky not to pay for the guns instead bet on his behalf at J.D’s illegal bookies. Moscow then instructs Choubey, Raja and Tina to kidnap Rocky outside the bookies.

Outside the bookies when they do not get hold of anything they plan to rob the bookies. But again they come out empty handed. As they come out they are over whelmed to find Rocky. They kidnap him and take him to their junk shop. Moscow Chikna shoots Rocky and takes the diamond away leaving them with the body.

Meanwhile J.D learns that some men attempted to rob his bookies. Agitated he comes to Choubey’s junk shop. There he finds out that Rocky was the one who was carrying the precious diamond. He tells Choubey and gang that he will spare them only if they get him the diamond.

Chowksi who comes down from London realizes that Rocky is missing. To find him he hires G9 (Jackie Shroff). Now here all the stories inter cross.


In one of the scenes World famous boxer Mike Tyson enters the scene to fight with Munna.

Now with all of them caught up together in this chase, the story takes a comical twist.

A lot of breaking bones for stealing stones ends up this bout with a complete knockout comedy!

Cheeni Kum 2007 (bollywood)

The film opens in the kitchen of Spice6, a (fictitious) Indian restaurant in London. Waiters, busboys and chefs are busy at work taking orders, preparing food and serving up a storm. At the center of this restaurant is an ornery head chef, Buddhadev Gupta (Amitabh Bachchan), presiding over "London's best restaurant". He is quick to fire a sous chef on the spot for making a small mistake. And he launches into a grand speech about the rise of the restaurant to prominence, about the art of cooking and how it stirs all the senses, and about the discipline and commitment required to maintain its stature.

One of the waiters, affectionately called Colgate (reference to an Indian toothpaste) and incessantly teased because of his protruding front teeth, brings back a Hyderabadi Zafrani Pulav. The patron sent it back because cheeni zyada hai (it has more sugar, it is sweet). The great Buddhadev is enraged. He brings it back to the table and lays out the patrons. Is this their first time in London? How is Zafrani Pulav made at their home? Would they be so kind as to teach him? The patrons quietly leave. Buddhadev returns to the kitchen muttering about low air fares bringing planeloads of bloody tourists who simply cannot appreciate his art.

The next day Colgate brings back another Zafrani Pulav. Buddhadev tastes it and rattles off its ingredients. He pronounces it, the child of his kitchen, the best Zafrani Pulav in town. Colgate meekly informs him that it was not sent back, but cooked specifically for him by the previous night's patron.

That patron is Nina Verma (Tabu).

Over the next few days Buddhadev and Nina run into each other a few times. Nina, a 34-year old software engineer, is intelligent, charming, playful, and strong willed, all under a quiet external demeanor. Buddhadev is every bit the pompous, irritable and lonely old man he portrays. The film takes us into his life. He returns, night after night, to his lodgings and to his aged mother (Zohra Sehgal in an excellent performance). The bright spot in his life is his quick-witted 9-year old neighbor Sexy (Swini Khara). She teases him, checks up on him and dispenses advice (with apparent wisdom way beyond her age) about his problems. For all her wit and wisdom, Sexy suffers from leukemia. She also laments that she is not able to watch A-rated (analogous to R-rated films in America) films. Buddhadev offers to bring her DVDs. (Later in the film, she says there is nothing in them she didn't already know. She fast-forwards through them in an attempt to finish watching them all as quickly as possible.)

Buddhadev gradually gets closer to Nina. There is constant lively banter between them. She asks him why he fired yet another sous chef; if he is pleased to accept compliments about the food prepared by the sous chefs then he should gracefully accept criticism (and in this case fire himself!) too. Buddhadev is gradually summoning the courage to ask her out; she playfully suggests that he should come right out and ask without fear. Ask her name, she says, with a coy smile.

At some point during the next week, Buddhadev asks her if she will marry him. She accepts. When she goes to talk to his mother, she gets a phone call about her father, in Delhi, being admitted to the hospital. Right around this time, Sexy's condition worsens and she is admitted to a local hospital.

Buddhadev arrives in Delhi to meet Nina's father, Mr. Verma (Paresh Rawal). Mr. Verma is a typical old Indian retiree. He spends his life in Bhajan (devotional songs, mainly focused on Gandhi), Bhojan (food) and Bhaji (references Harbhajan Singh and represents his love for cricket). Nina informs Buddhadev that her father, at 58, is younger than him! After a few false starts, Buddhadev asks Mr. Verma for his daughter's hand in marriage.

Mr. Verma is shocked and disgusted. He flatly refuses. Over my dead body, he raves at Nina. She immediately, yet quietly, asks him when he plans to go! He calmly tells her that he is concerned about her. Buddhadev is already and old man; how much longer can he live? She says she prefers spending a few years with a man she loves instead of a lifetime with some man she does not love.

It is a stalemate. Mr. Verma puts up a bhookh hartal (fast, something commonly employed by Gandhi as a means of peaceful disobedience). Buddhadev arrives at the denouement. What is Mr. Verma's problem? He lays out the facts and addresses Mr. Verma's fears. He is adequately covered by insurance; Nina need not worry.

Mr. Verma finally relents. No sooner than Buddhadev hears this, he receives word from London that Sexy has passed.

The film ends with Buddhadev, Nina, Buddhadev's mother and Mr. Verma having dinner at Spice6. Buddhadev offers to fulfill one of Mr. Verma's life goals: watching a game of cricket at Lord's stadium.

Good Boy Bad Boy 2007 (bollywood)

Rajan Malhotra ( Tusshar Kapoor ) is a ‘good boy’ who spends his time staying riveted to books and isolated from the youthful jamboree of college life. Even Rajan’s parents want him to leave his uptightness and enjoy life. But Rajan has a sole aim, to study hard and become a responsible citizen of this country.

Such talk is Greek to Raju Malhotra ( Emraan Hashmi ) who, no prizes for guessing, is the ‘bad boy’. Raju maintains a safe distance from books, bunks his lectures, spends his quality time playing pranks on others or chasing girls in the college.

Speaking of girls, there is ‘bad girl’ Dinki ( Tanushree Dutta ) who is a free spirit with mod attitude and god-given assets. And then there is ‘good girl’ Rashmi ( Isha Sharvani ) with a planned outlook towards life.

Story takes a turn when the new principal (Paresh Rawal) decides to bring some discipline into the college by dividing it into three different sections for brilliant, average and week students.

By mistake, the IDs of Rajan and Raju are swapped. Rajan finds himself in Raju’s place, and Raju goes among the intellectual students.

Despite this case of mistaken identities, the bad boy falls for the good girl Rashmi, who turns out to be the principal’s daughter. On the other hand, the ‘bad girl’ Dinki woos the good boy Rajan.

The movie ends with an inter-college competition in which both the good and the bad boy emerge victorious.

Hyderabad Nawabs 2007 (bollywood)

Pappu (Aziz Nasar) and Munna (Masti Ali) are orphans and grew up on their own in a local atmosphere in Hyderabad. While Pappu while away his time near the women's college teasing girls, Munna sells tickets in black at Ramakrishna theatre. Though they are little mischievous, they are good at heart. The two guys fall in love with Nazma (Stuti Mishra) and Reshma (Vandana). The girls' father Haneef Bhai (Ismail) is a miser and is popular as Murgi Chor in Murgi Chowk. However, he wants to get his daughters married to rich boys and send them to the US. One Sajid is always after Haneef to betroth the latter's daughters to his sons Arif (Raghu) and Anwar (Basha) claiming that they just returned from the US. In fact, they are pickpockets and return from Chanchalguda jail after a five-month term.

On the other side, there are two local gangs. One led by Yadav alias Mama (Raju Shrivastav) of Dhoolpet and another led by Ajju Tejab (Hari) of Mangalhat. Both are rivals and want to attack each other at an appropriate time. Knowing that Arif and Anwar are pickpockets, Pappu and Munna want their lovers not to marry them. This is despite Haneef performs engagement of his daughters with Arif and Anwar.

So Pappu and Munna take the help of Mama, while the others meet Ajju to settle the scores. Finally, Pappu and Munna were able to prove that Arif and Anwar were petty thieves. At the same time, they manage to prove themselves with the help of a drama artiste, that they were the sons of an NRI and get the nod of Haneef to marry his daughters to them. The film ends on a happy note.

Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee 2007 (bollywood)

On their graduation day Manish (Aftab Shivdasani), Rajeev (Dino Morea), Jai (Sameer Dattani), Monica (Nauheed Cyrusi) and Ishita (Anjori) get insanely drunk and have a bet that who out of them would be the happiest in life. They give themselves five years. At the end of five years Manish would decide who was the happiest. All of them have different ideas of happiness.

Rajeev thinks that to be the best in what you do is happiness, Monica thinks fame is happiness, Jai thinks power is happiness and Ishita thinks money is what happiness is all about.

Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee is the story of the journey of these five friends. What people do to achieve what they want? It is a journey of success and failure, triumphs and tribulations, hope and despair, happiness and sadness and of course the final question. Who will win the bet?

Provoked 2007 (bollywood)

Unable to bear the brutality and repeated rapes by her allegedly abusive and alcoholic husband, a battered Punjabi housewife and mother of two, Kiranjit Ahluwalia (Aishwarya Rai) sets fire to her abusive husband, Deepak Ahluwalia (Naveen Andrews) and kills him unintentionally. Her case comes to the notice of a group of South Asian social worker running an under funded organization called the Southall Black Sisters. Charged with murder, she is sentenced to life imprisonment where she befriends her cellmate, a white woman named Veronica Scott (Miranda Richardson), who teaches her English. Her cell mate is friends with several girls in the prison and stands up for Kiranjit against the local prison bully. One day when Kiranjit stands up against the bully for herself Veronica realises what a good person Kiranjit is and decieds that her her step-brother, Edward Foster (Robbie Coltrane), a highly respected Queen's Counsel, could help her in her appeal for free, the two siblings had a on off relationship and Veronica would not let Edward help in her case, so he realised that Kiranjit must be special. before the hearing for the appeal the Southall Black Sisters bring her plight to the attention of the media by organizing rallies to gather public support for her freedom. She is ultimately freed by the judicial system in a landmark case called "Regina vs. Ahluwalia", that redefined the word PROVOCATION in the case of a battered woman. (She was reconvicted from murder to manslaughter the judge took in to account the 3 years and 4 months served already and made that her sentence). She is reunited with her children and subsequently given an award by the Prime Minister's wife for her crusade against domestic violence. (The award is not shown on the film although it is accredited at the end).

Jasmeet "Jazz" Malhotra (Katrina Kaif) is an Indian girl, brought up lovingly by her father Manmohan Malhotra (Rishi Kapoor). Jazz loves everything that is British - something her father, a very Indian man with very Indian values, cannot understand. And he's not alone: Parvez Khan (Javed Sheikh), Manmohan's best friend, has a son, Imran Khan (Upen Patel), who displays the same behaviour as Jazz and even has a live-in relationship with a British girl; something, Parvez can barely tolerate.

Manmohan Singh forces his daughter to marry a typical Indian in India: Arjun Singh (Akshay Kumar) is a Punjabi farmer. He barely speaks English, gets married to Jazz - and though initially joyful about his beautiful bride, he realizes that she still intends to marry her British boyfriend and Arjun is forced to watch as Jazz flirts with another man. However, Arjun will do anything to make his beloved happy and fall in love with him. In the end, some how, he manages to make Jazz fall in love with him.

Delhii Heights 2007 (bollywood)

Delhii Heights is a high-rise apartment in Delhi, where Abi (Jimmy Shergill) and Stavros !xobile Condos (Neha Dhupia), a married couple who work for rival companies, live. It's about how their professional lives affect their personal ones. Also, there lives Timmy Kohli Om Puri, a fun loving Sikh, with his wife Ruby Kamini Khanna and two daughters. Then there is Bobby Rohit Roy and his wife Saima Simone Singh. Bobby is a compulsive flirt and his wife knows about it. How things take place and how their lives change is to be seen.

Then there is Lucky Vivek Shauq, a cricket bookie, a hilarious character in itself. Also, there are four boys, residents of Delhii Heights, who keep running after girls and pulling each others' legs. How these stories run simultaneously is amongst the highpoints of the film.

Shakalaka Boom Boom 2007 (bollywood)

The movie revolves around two men with a similar passion - music.

AJ (Bobby Deol) is playing a ruthless manipulative composer, based on the main character of Antonio Salieri in the 1984 American Movie 'Amadeus'. He has reached where he is through hard work and dedication. He is used to winning, he revels in it and will never allow anybody to overtake him. He is jealous of a new artist/composer, Reggi, who supposed has more talent, but obviously uses the same composer and playback singers and is only marginally different to the ears.

Reggi (Upen Patel), based on an unsympathetic adaption of Amadeus Mozart, is a talented and upcoming singer. Young and naturally talented, Reggi hungers for what AJ has. Reggi works hard to alienate people and create enemies, then wallows in self pity when these same people are alienated and act as his ememies. Reggi is good looking, can dance and his playback singers have talent, marginally different (but not better) than AJ. Upen Patel just had a good performance in a supporting role in 'Namaste, London', so we shall assume bad writing and bad directing.

Ruhi (Kangana Ranaut), who has uneven lip collagen injections, is an aspiring singer who looks up to AJ but she has fallen head over heels for Reggi. Ruhi tells us that Reggi is funny, but there is not a single indication of this; as he is as personable as a stalker.

Sheena (Celina Jaitley) is a gorgeous and ambitious PR professional. Sheena goes all out to promote Reggi and Reggi treats her poorly then whines when she is alienated.

There is a lot of pretentious vain drama in this flick as the story involves a lot of petty emotions.

Formulaic bollywood music is the sole survivor in the film, as the unsympathetic characters self destruct.

This movie claims to be broadly based on the life of Himesh Reshamiya, but is shamelessly lifted directly from the 1984 American Movie, "Amadeus'.

Parzania 2007 (bollywood)

Allan (Corin Nemec), an American, arrives in Ahmedabad searching for answers, praying to find internal peace and understand the world and his troubled life. Allan has chosen India as his school and Gandhi as his subject. It’s here that he meets Cyrus and his loving family. Cyrus (Naseeruddin Shah) lives with his wife Shernaz (Sarika) , son Parzan (Parzan Dastur) and daughter Dilshad (Pearl Barsiwala).Through Cyrus's family, and the teachings of an old Indian scholar, Allan starts to find peace of mind, right before the rest of the country loses its sanity. One morning, the beauty and peace in India is stirred beyond measure, as a fire erupts in a train killing 58 Hindus.

Within 24 hours, 100,000 citizens storm into Ahmedabad and slaughter thousands of Muslims, making that day one of the largest acts of communal violence the country has ever seen. And in the midst of the terror and violence, Parzan disappears.

While Cyrus fights for his own sanity and searches for his child, Allan battles to uncover the truth behind the riots and any possible meaning to the insanity he has witnessed. People start to question the explanations they are given and a Human Rights Commission is formed. But will the truth finally be out? Does any of it matter to a distraught family that just wants to find their little boy?

Babul DVD (bollywood)

Balraj Kapoor (Amitabh Bachchan) is a rich businessman, happy and content with his world. He and his wife Shobhna (Hema Malini) have a son Avinash (Salman Khan). After many years of studying abroad, Avinash announces that he is returning home. Soon, Malvika "Milli" Talwar (Rani Mukerji) enters his life. Love blossoms between them and they get married and are soon blessed with a son, Ansh. However tradegy strikes the family when Avinash is killed in an accident. The loss is too much for Milli and she slowly falls into depression.

Balraj seeks to bring happiness back into Milli's life and he gets into contact with Rajat (John Abraham). Rajat was Milli's friend and he secretly loved her but never told her. Balraj asks Rajat to marry Milli but he faces opposition from his traditional elder brother Balwant (Om Puri). Balwant is totally opposed to the marriage but after some talking from Balraj he agrees. Rajat and Milli get married.
