Stomp the yard 2007(hollywood)

The movie begins with an underground dance competition in Los Angeles. It is held at the Home "Field" of a rival dance troop who are wiping out the competition. Watching all the action is the Goon Squad, headed up by brothers DJ (Columbus Short) and Duron (Brown) Williams. After the home squad wins another bout, the Goon Squad takes the stage to challenge. A bucket is passed around for wagering and both Squads add a stack of money to the pot. The battle starts and the Goon Squad takes the prize. The losing squad offers double or nothing, dropping more money in the bucket, but Duron is happy with the win and turns down the challenge. DJ pulls him aside to try to convince Duron that they can’t win it again without him. Duron still doesn't want to compete again but does not want to leave his brother behind. Duron pulls a great move; and the Goon Squad are declared the winners again.

After the battle ends, the Goon Squad is walking home when they are ambushed by the squad they just defeated, as their leader demands their money back. The leader pulls out a gun in the middle of the fight and shoots Duron, killing him on the spot. DJ was arrested over the fight.

Duron and DJ's mother has a brother, Nate (Harry J. Lennix) who is Head of Maintenance at Truth University in Atlanta. DJ is given a job on Nate’s crew as well as a scholarship to Truth. He is to live on campus, but his uncle and his aunt Jackie (Valarie Pettiford), a real estate agent, offer their house to him to visit anytime.

At Truth, whilst waiting in the line for registration, DJ sees April (Meagan Good) and is attracted by her. After registering he moves into his dorm room, which he shares with roommate Rich Brown (Ne-Yo). Rich takes him to a gathering where Theta Nu Theta are having a step show. Their rival fraternity Mu Gamma Xi arrives and steals the show; they are the 7 time defending National Step Champions.

During the step show, DJ spots April again and runs over to her. He runs right through the Gamma’s step line, almost getting into a fight with Grant (Darrin Henson) and a few other Gammas. Later that day on campus, DJ sees April again and runs up to start a conversation. April’s boyfriend Grant arrives and is introduced to DJ. Grant warns DJ to stay away from April.

That night, Rich and his friends are going to the local club and invite DJ along. It is a "Rep Your Hood" night where people from other cities come to represent their city. Grant is dancing with another woman when April walks in and sees them. She gets angry and Grant tries to explain that he was simply dancing but she tells him she still doesn't like it. When Grant leaves to represent, DJ tells April she does not have to be treated like that. Grant, seeing them talking, runs over and tells DJ to leave his girl alone. They almost have a fight but Grant is called back to the dance floor.

DJ takes this opportunity to show Grant up; he jumps onto the dance floor and challenges him. DJ showcases his moves by going up to different people in the crowd and doing a dance popular in that particular person’s city. DJ then does a few moves mocking Grant and the crowd goes wild. Grant does not dance back, knowing he can't top DJ's moves.

The next day, DJ is gardening on campus when he is approached by Grant and Zeke (Laz Alonso) who is Gamma’s campus president. Zeke orders two Gammas to finish DJ’s work while they take a walk. Zeke was impressed by his dancing and invites DJ to join their fraternity. DJ declines, stating he would rather battle and this insults Zeke.

Later while studying, DJ is approached by Sly (Brian J. White), the leader of the Thetas, asking him to consider pledging to their fraternity. Unlike the Gammas offer, Sly emphasizes the concept of brotherhood and tells DJ to visit Heritage Hall, a building dedicated to the men and women who were in fraternities and sorority.

DJ is mowing the lawn when he spots April jogging. He asks her out for lunch but she declines because she is tutoring. DJ goes to the tutoring administration and asks them what subject April tutors, and takes up History tutorials. During their tutoring session, DJ again asks April to dinner. She initially declines, and he tells her to ask him anything about the subject and if he can answer her, they will go for dinner. He does and she accepts his date. After dinner on the dance floor, they start kissing but she pulls away.

DJ visits Heritage Hall and sees pictures of prominent Black people that paved the way for different sororities, including Michael Jordan and Martin Luther King Jr.. At the going over ceremony where the pledges are made into members, the Gammas are having their ceremony when it is interrupted by the Theta’s. All the new Gamma members are revealed, followed by the new Theta members, DJ being one of them; His fraternity name is Knucklehead.

While together, DJ tells April that he notices everything about her and she tests him by asking what her favorite color is. He would guess that it was green through noticing things of her's that are of that color.

When April has dinner with Grant, he suddenly gives her a ring. She asks him what her favorite color is but he is unable to answer. Suspicious, he asks her if this is about DJ and when she can't answer, he gets angry and calls her ungrateful, amongst other things; She leaves him and hooks with DJ.

Both the Gammas and Thetas have been secretly rehearsing for the Championships. DJ starts teaching his line brothers some new moves, but when Sly sees them he gets angry and tells him that stepping is not a rap video. DJ retorts that these moves are the new thing. Sly challenges DJ to a battle at the Phoenix between his line brothers and DJ's; the new moves against the old.

Both teams are about even when DJ decides to dance a solo, thinking this will bring their team to victory. However, as a team competition, this stunt costs them the victory. All the Thetas are angry at his showing off. Remembering Duron, DJ apologizes to the Thetas and acknowledges the team. Sly agrees to let DJ teach the team some new moves.

Some of the Gammas are researching DJ and they find out about his previous criminal background. Meanwhile, April and DJ are studying and DJ offers to take her out to get the best fried chicken. He drives her to his uncle and aunt's house. During the meal, we learn that April's mother passed away 5 years ago. April's father (Allan Louis) is the Dean of Truth and when Nate hears this, he is surprised.

DJ is in class when he is summoned to the Dean’s office. The Dean has learned about DJ's background from the Gammas and the school Board suspends him for the remainder of the year. Afterwards, DJ meets Dr. Palmer, who tells him that he can be reinstated in school if he stops seeing April. DJ refuses.

This is three days to Nationals and the Thetas are upset about potentially losing the competition. It turns out that Dr. Palmer used to be a Gamma too.

Dr. Palmer tells April about DJ, who is hurt that he didn't tell her the truth. He explains to her what happened and tells her that the reason he is leaving is because of her father.

When DJ breaks the news to his uncle and aunt, they explain that his aunt and Dr Palmer used to date until she met his uncle, and that is why Dr. Palmer has it in for DJ.

On the day of the Nationals, Jackie goes to see Dr. Palmer about the deal. He tells her he doesn't want his daughter to make the same mistake as she did and she tells him that she has a good life. He says that it isn't good enough for his daughter, but she overhears and is upset.

Fearing the loss of his daughter, Dr. Palmer has agreed to reinstate DJ, and they go to the Nationals together.

The finals of the stepping competition are between the Gammas and the Thetas, who must have a dance off to determine the winner. Each team must choose one dancer to go head to head with each other.

Grant, having watched the secret tape of DJ, tells Zeke he can win the competition for them. However, DJ shows up in time. Going first, Grant does DJ's exact routine from the tape. After Grant finishes, DJ puts on the gloves Duron was wearing when he danced in the beginning of the movie and matches Grant move for move.

As the Theta’s are all huddled on stage, DJ runs into the huddle and then thrusts his body backwards, sliding towards the Gamma’s in the same move that Duron did at the beginning of the movie. DJ is mobbed by the Theta’s and April runs out to kiss him. The scene is captured in a still black and white photo that appears on the wall at Heritage Hall.

300 2007 (hollywood)

A group of Persian messengers arrive at Sparta, demanding Sparta's submission to King Xerxes. Outraged and offended at their behavior, King Leonidas and his guards throw the messengers into a pit, resolving to face the Persians. Leonidas then visits the Oracle, explaining his plan of war with the Persians and offers a customary payment in gold. The priests of the Oracle, the Ephors having already been bribed by Xerxes, interpret her message to mean that Sparta should not go to war, so as to not interrupt the sacred Carneian festival.

Despite the warning, Leonidas gathers 300 of his best soldiers to fight the Persians, selecting only those who have already sired male children, so that their family name can continue even after their death. As they march North, they are joined by a group of Arcadians and other Greeks. Arriving at the narrow cliffs of Thermopylae (referred to as the "Hot Gates"), in sight of the Persian army, they build a wall to halt the Persians' advance. Ephialtes, a hunchbacked Spartan whose parents had fled to save him from customary infanticide, approaches Leonidas, requesting to redeem his father's name in battle, and warning him about a secret goat path that the Persians could use to surround them. Leonidas turns him away as his inability to properly hold the shield would create a weak spot in the phalanx.

Before the battle starts, the Persians ask that the 300 drop their arms. Leonidas responds; "Persians! Come and take them!" The Spartans use the phalanx formation and hand to hand combat to fight off numerous waves of attackers including Xerxes's elite guard, the Immortals. The 300 defend their position while suffering relatively few losses. Xerxes, impressed, personally approaches Leonidas and promises him wealth and power in exchange for his surrender. The Spartan king declines, saying that he will instead make the "God King" bleed. Shortly thereafter, an embittered Ephialtes reveals the location of the goat path to Xerxes, having been promised a lucrative and powerful position in the Persian Empire.

Back in Sparta, Queen Gorgo, upon the advice of a councilman, attempts to enlist the influential Theron to help her persuade the Spartan council to send reinforcements to Leonidas. Theron agrees to help, but demands that Gorgo submit sexually to him; Gorgo reluctantly consents. Meanwhile, the Greeks realize that Ephialtes has betrayed them, and the Arcadians decide to retreat in the face of certain death. The Spartans refuse to follow, obedient to their law. Leonidas orders only one man, Dilios, to retreat and use his rhetorical skills to tell the story of the 300 to the Spartan people, ensuring that they be remembered. Dilios reluctantly leaves with the Arcadians. At Sparta, Queen Gorgo appears in front of the council, but is not supported by Theron, who furthermore accuses her of adultery. The Queen, enraged at this betrayal, snatches a sword from a nearby soldier and kills Theron. Persian coins fall from his purse, the Council denounces him as a traitor, and unites against Persia.

At Thermopylae, the Persians have surrounded the 300 on all sides. Xerxes's spokesman demands their surrender, saying that Leonidas may keep his title as King of Sparta and become warlord of all Greece, answerable only to Xerxes. In defiance, Leonidas throws his spear at Xerxes, cutting his cheek, delivering on his promise to "make the 'God King' bleed." Shaken at the reminder of his own mortality, Xerxes orders his archers to fire. The remaining Spartans are killed in the hail of arrows, with Leonidas dying last. Dilios eventually returns to Sparta and inspires the council with the bravery of the 300.

Dilios finishes his tale of the 300 on a new battlefield surrounded by raptly listening soldiers. He concludes that the Persian army, who defeated a mere 300 Spartans a year earlier with great difficulty, must now be terrified to face 10,000 Spartans and 30,000 Greeks from the other city-states. The roused Greek host charges the Persian army, beginning the Battle of Plataea.

Vacancy 2007 (hollywood)

A late night detour leads to an unimaginable nightmare when an estranged couple's car breaks down on a remote country road. Finding themselves stranded on a dark and deserted two-lane highway, David Fox (Luke Wilson) and his soon-to-be ex-wife Amy (Kate Beckinsale) are forced to spend the night at a seedy motel run by an odd but seemingly harmless proprietor (Frank Whaley). In their filthy, threadbare room, the bickering couple finds a cache of homemade slasher films that look disturbingly real. Once they realize the blood-soaked videos were shot in the very room in which they're staying, David and Amy know they will be the sadistic filmmakers' next victims unless they put aside their differences and work together to escape.

After the accidental death of their young son, Amy (Kate Beckinsale) and David's (Luke Wilson) marriage is in tatters. Returning from their last trip together before finalizing their divorce, David decides to take an unfamiliar short cut down a desolate back road. When their car breaks down they find they have no choice but to stay at a nearby motel where the distracted night manager, Mason (Frank Whaley), seems more interested in watching lurid horror films than helping them with their engine troubles.

The couple resign themselves to a tense and uncomfortable night together in the rundown room, but no sooner do they turn down the ratty bed covers than they begin to hear frantic banging from the room next door. When they complain about the noise, Mason informs the Foxes they are the motels only guests, and suggests a vagrant may have broken in and taken up temporary residence next door.

Jittery and desperate to unwind, David tries watching some unmarked videos he finds in the room which turn out to be graphic, low-budget slasher films. After a few minutes, David realizes with growing horror that the brutal violence in the videos isn't make-believe. Fitted with multiple hidden cameras, the motels "honeymoon suite" is the arena for a sickening and deadly game of cat and mouse.

The couple soon figures out that the bloodthirsty killers intend to make David and Amy the stars of their next snuff film. As they begin their frantic effort to escape, they find their captors are filming their every move, toying with them to increase the sadistic appeal of the production. With their tormentors closing in fast, David and Amy must learn to depend on each other again if they are to have any chance of surviving the longest night of their lives.

Are We Done Yet? 2007 (hollywood)

The film takes place about a year after the events from Are We There Yet(2005), and Nick(Ice Cube) and Suzanne(Nia Long) get married and live in his apartment with the kids, and sells his store in hopes to becomes a magazine writer. But Suzanne announces that she is pregnant, and Nick soon realizes that his apartment is no place for a family, so they move, much of the dismay of the kids, out to the beautiful side of the country. They end up buying a house, but the house is very old, and it begins to fall apart(anybody remember The Money Pit?). So they call on Chuck Mitchell Jr(John C. McGinley), a contractor who in hopes to help fix up the place, and that Murphy's Law does not take part. I enjoyed Are We There Yet, but the second time around just didn't quite do it. Although moments with Ice Cube and John C. McGinley playing off each other were pretty funny, but the rest of the film to me, appeared to be that was trying to hard to be funnier then the first, but it just didn't do it. It ends up looking like one Bad SNL joke after another.

Norbit 2007 (hollywood)

Norbit (Eddie Murphy) is a very friendly African-American male who tends to see the positive side of things, even in difficult circumstances. As a baby he was literally thrown out of a car, and abandoned, outside a Chinese restaurant, the Golden Wonton, in Boiler Springs, Tennessee. In the restaurant, owned by Mr. Wong (Eddie Murphy), and doubling as an orphanage, Norbit was raised. During elementary school, Norbit was saved from two bullies by a mean child, Rasputia (Eddie Murphy), who later became his girlfriend. As an adult, he marries the overweight Rasputia. She has three imposing older brothers, Big Black Jack (Terry Crews), Earl (Clifton Powell), and Blue (Lester "Rasta" Speight), who threaten Norbit that he should never do anything that makes Rasputia unhappy. However, Rasputia is a very unfriendly woman.

A dilemma occurs when Kate (Thandie Newton), Norbit's crush from childhood, returns to town, and Norbit catches Rasputia cheating with a "powertap" workout instructor (Marlon Wayans). Norbit meets Kate for lunch hoping to rekindle their childhood romance, but she introduces him to her fiancé Deion (Cuba Gooding, Jr.).

Meanwhile, Rasputia's brothers (who own and operate Lattimore Construction) want to purchase the Golden Wonton as the building is zoned as commercial and has a liquor license. Mr. Wong decides to sell the orphanage to Kate, so the Lattimore brothers enlist Kate's fiancé to get her to unknowingly sign the liquor license transfer by using Norbit. Kate finds out that Norbit had her sign this document and confronts him, and Norbit yells at her to leave him alone forever. What Kate does not realize is that Rasputia threatened to physically harm Kate if Norbit doesn't force her away. Kate agrees to marry her fiancé the next day, when Norbit receives a background check on Deion detailing his criminal past (and multiple wives and children). At the wedding Mr. Wong arranges with the help of some pimps a delay of the ceremony until Norbit, who was imprisoned at home by one of Rasputia's brothers, after escaping arrives at the church and convinces Kate that she should not marry Deion, has ex-families who recognise him still their father, whom Norbit had contacted and had show up at the wedding. This angers Rasputia and the Latimore brothers, who chase Norbit out of the church with the intent to kill. Rasputia storms out of the church, grabbing a shovel, and plowing through the town citizens who have banned together against the Latimores. When her brothers are chased off, Rasputia finally makes her way to Norbit, shovel in hand. As she raises it, Mr. Wong exits the church with a flagpole/spear, shouting, "WHALE HO!" Rasputia pauses and asks, insulted, "Did someone just call me a whale?" to which Wong replies, "Yeah, and a ho!" before hurling the flagpole/spear at her and impaling her buttocks. She lets out a long, pained scream and bolts off, out of the town and out of Norbit's life. Kate is delighted to call off the marriage, and Norbit and Kate get married under the trees with Mr. Wong and the orphans attending.

In the end, Big Black Jack, Earl, and Blue move to Mexico and now have a job as servants at a nightclub. Rasputia also moves with them and has a job, too, of becoming a showgirl at the same nightclub and makes the "Chair Dance" parody of Flashdance, ending the movie.

Mr. Bean's Holiday 2007 (hollywood)

The film opens with Bean's lime-green Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) a fete is taking place. Somewhat unexpectedly, Bean wins the first prize in a raffle - holiday involving a train journey to Cannes, a video camera, and €200.

Following a misunderstanding involving a taxi at the Gare du Nord) railway station in Paris, Bean is forced to make his way unorthodoxly towards the Gare de Lyon to board his next train towards Cannes. However, a vending machine prevents him from boarding, and he misses his train, giving him an hour to sample French seafood cuisine.

Back on the platform, Bean asks a man, who happens to be Russian movie director Emil Duchevsky (Karel Roden), to use his camcorder to film him walking onto the train. Bean makes a big fuss and keeps asking for retakes, so by the time they are done, the train is about to leave. Although Bean manages to get onto the train, the doors close before Duchevsky can get on. Duchevsky's son, Stepan (Max Baldry) is therefore left on board by himself.

Bean attempts to befriend the boy, who has been told to get off at the next station, and eventually comes to his rescue at the station, unfortunately missing his train again. The train Stepan's father has boarded does not stop at the station, and a mobile number is held up, with the last two digits obscured. Attempts at calling the number prove fruitless. The next train comes and they board. However, Bean has left his wallet, passport and ticket on the telephone box. Bean and Stepan are thrown off the train.

Attempts at begging and miming to Puccini's O mio babbino caro prove successful, and Bean buys the pair a bus ticket to Cannes. Bean managed to lose his, though, and attempts to hitchhike his way there. Mr Bean soon falls asleep, exhausted from walking and wakes up on what appears to be a quaint French village but is actually a film set for a yoghurt advert. Bean ends up as an extra in the advert, directed by Carson Clay (Willem Dafoe), but inadvertantly ends up destroying the set in an explosion.

Bean then tries to hitchhike again and a lime-green Mini identical to his picks him up, driven by accress Sabine, who offers him a lift to Cannes. She is an aspiring actress on her way to the 59th Cannes Film Festival where the film in which she makes her debut as an extra is going to be presented. When they stop at a service station, Bean finds Stepan dancing in a cafe with a band. Sabine agrees to take him with them.

Due to communication difficulties, Sabine thinks Stepan is Bean's son, while Stepan thinks Sabine is Bean's fiancee. On the road again, Bean asks Sabine if she has a cellphone, which she promptly gives to Bean. Bean and the boy now attempt to call his father again, but to no avail, and the trio end up driving through the night.

When Sabine goes into a petrol station to change for the premiere, she sees a newsflash, Mr. Bean is suspected of kidnapping Stepan and that she is suspected to be his accomplice. However, since she does not want to miss the presentation of the film in Cannes in just one hour, she does not want to go to the police now to clear the misunderstandings. Therefore, they have to work out a way to get into Cannes without being identified. Stepan dresses up as a girl while Mr. Bean dresses up as Stepan's grandmother. They manage to get through the search and Sabine arrives at the premiere on time.

After sneaking into the premiere, Bean is disappointed to see that Sabine's large role has been cut from the film, and ends up plugging in his video camera to the projector, where his video diary is unexpectedly played out. However, the bizarre tale it tells fits director Carson Clay's narration well, and the director, Sabine and Bean all recieve standing ovations. Stepan is finally reunited with his father.

After the screening, Bean leaves the building by the backdoor, and onto the beach, encountering many of the characters from the film. The film then ends with Bean and all the other characters of the film miming a large French musical finale, which called "La Mer" (The Sea), with arms raised in the air. After the credits Bean writes with his foot "fin" in the sand.

Hot fuzz 2007 (hollywood)

Nicholas Angel, an extremely dedicated and over-achieving police officer in London's Metropolitan Police Service, is so good that he makes everyone else on the force look bad. As a result his superiors send him to a place where his talents won’t be quite so embarrassing: the sleepy and seemingly crime-free village of Sandford, where there hasn't been a recorded murder for twenty years. Once there, he is partnered with well-meaning but overeager and naive police constable Danny Butterman, the son of the local police chief Inspector Butterman, and a committed action movie fan who believes that his new big-city partner might just be a real-life "bad boy," and providing him with his chance to experience the life of gunfights and car chases he so longs for. Angel, meanwhile, struggles to adjust to the quiet and uneventful pace of the village, and despite clearing up several otherwise unnoticed crimes and misdemeanors in short order (such as shoplifters, underage drinkers and a farmer storing a huge supply of illegal weapons in his barn), soon finds his most pressing concern being a swan that has escaped from its owner. Faced with the reality of his situation, Angel and Danny eventually bond over drinks at the local pub and action movies.

Soon after Angel's arrival, a series of grisly "accidents" rock the village, seemingly committed by a cloaked and hooded individual. Increasingly convinced that Sandford is not what it seems, Angel begins to clash with the other officers on the force, in particular the two detectives, who believe that he's nothing more than an uptight city cop with an overactive imagination. However, Angel refuses to drop the investigation and initially suspects Simon Skinner, the charming but sinister manager of the local Somerfield supermarket, of murdering the victims due to their involvement in a lucrative property deal, but his confrontation with Skinner only reveals Skinner's apparent innocence and damages Angel's credibility with his colleagues even further. After being ambushed in his hotel room by the cloaked murderer, who is unmasked as the giant trolley boy of the Somerfield supermarket under the instruction of Skinner, Angel is led to a nearby castle where he discovers the truth - Inspector Butterman and the Neighbourhood Watch Alliance (NWA), intent on keeping Sandford's title of 'Village of the Year', have been murdering anyone who potentially damage the village's image. Angel discovers the bodies of various "problem" people whom the NWA have disposed of (several of whom Angel had encountered earlier in the movie), before being cornered and stabbed by Danny, apparently a member of the NWA.

Angel is not harmed, however; having tricked the NWA into believing that Angel is dead, Danny instead drives him to the village limits and releases him, insisting that he knew nothing about their true activities. Danny urges Angel to flee, reasoning that no one would believe the truth about Sandford; Angel decides to stop the NWA once and for all, however, and drives back to the town, stealing the weapons seized from the farmer earlier in the movie and then riding into the village on horseback. Once there, he meets with Danny and the two begin to dispatch the members of the NWA in an increasingly destructive and frantic series of gun fights. Initially confronted by the Sandford Police Force, Angel and Danny quickly persuade their colleagues of the truth and take the battle to the supermarket. Skinner and Inspector Butterman flee, and are pursued by Angel and Danny to a nearby model village, where both are eventually subdued. Although Angel's old supervisors arrive from London begging Angel to return, as their crime statistics have risen drastically whilst he has been gone, Angel elects to remain in Sandford. Back at the police station, the Sandford Police celebrate their triumph and attempt to complete their resulting paperwork, but are ambushed by a remaining member of the NWA, who attempts to shoot Angel; Danny takes the bullet, however, and the resulting chaos triggers a confiscated sea mine (which was thought to be deactivated) stored in the evidence room that destroys the station. The movie cuts to a year later, with Angel laying flowers on a grave marked 'Butterman'; it is revealed that Danny has survived, however, and that the grave is his mother's. Angel has been promoted to Inspector and Danny to Sergeant, and the film ends as they go back to working the beat together in Sandford.

Sunshine 2007 (hollywood)

Fifty years into the future, the Sun is failing, causing the Earth to freeze. A spacecraft, the Icarus II with a crew of eight men and women is launched as a last hope,[2] carrying a stellar bomb with a payload the mass of Manhattan in order to re-ignite the Sun. Seven years prior, a similar ship, the Icarus I, had been launched for the same mission, but contact was lost.[3] When the crew of eight move toward the sun and out of radio contact with Earth, they discover the distress beacon of the ship that had been missing for seven years. Capa (Cillian Murphy), the physicist who controls the bomb, is asked by the captain to decide whether to change course and approach Icarus I. Reasoning that the success of their mission is theoretical anyway, Capa decides that it is best to rendezvous with the stricken vessel in order to potentially acquire another payload, in case the payload they are already carrying does not achieve its purpose.

Events begin to cascade almost immediately. When calculating their new course, Trey (Benedict Wong) neglects to correct the heat shield angle, so it is now damaged on the sunward side. In the repair attempt, captain Kaneda (Hiroyuki Sanada) dies, and their oxygen garden is destroyed by the sun (with it most of their air reserves). Trey's guilt is plain and is placed under sedation by psychologist Searle (Cliff Curtis) rather than staging a suicide watch. Following the new course Icarus II approaches and docks with Icarus I. They find the Icarus I crew had abandoned their mission (deferring to "God's will" under leadership of captain Pinbacker (Mark Strong) and destroyed their computer, rendering their bomb useless, before killing themselves. The airlock between the two ships is destroyed before the party can return to Icarus II. Capa is given priority for the sole space suit, but Searle has to stay behind to release the hatch. Second-in-command Harvey (Troy Garity) is lost in space, freezing to death whilst attempting to cross back to Icarus II with Capa, while engineer Mace (Chris Evans) suffers from frostbite during the crossing. The crew members are confronted with a dilemma; the remaining oxygen reserves will not suffice for the five survivors to complete their mission. They speculate and come to the conclusion that Trey has to be killed in the interest of oxygen conservation. Trey, however, has already come out from under sedation and committed suicide, meaning that the remaining crew have enough air to complete the mission, but not to return to Earth.

Following a disturbing warning from the computer, telling him of an unknown fifth surviving crew member, Capa finds Icarus I captain Pinbacker on board inside the observation deck and still quite as zealously insane as he was before on the Icarus I's last entry video earlier, he locks Capa into an airlock after slicing him across the chest, eventually sabotages the computers, kills the botanist crew member Corazon (Michelle Yeoh) as she tends to her ruined oxygen garden, and chases pilot Cassie (Rose Byrne) into the payload section of the ship. Mace repairs the computers enough to get power back online, but dies in the coolant tanks in the process, and the bomb must now be released and fired manually. Capa breaks free of the airlock, launches the bomb and boards it before its boosters fire. After finding Cassie aboard and being pursued by Pinbacker, Capa successfully detonates the bomb. He stands between the expanding effects of the weapon and the encroaching solar surface as it descends. Faced with the surface of the sun itself Capa takes his final moments enjoying the sheer spectacle in front of him as the flames overtake him.

In a snow-strewn landscape on Earth, eight minutes after the Icarus climax, Capa's sister and family watch the video that was recorded near the beginning of the film of Capa giving his final message to his family as they watch for a sign that the mission has succeeded. The dim sun finally brightens as the Sydney Opera House looms on the horizon.

Barnyard 2006 (cartoon)

While some characters in the film are humans, most are anthropomorphic animals which in the presence of humans pretend to be ordinary animals. In particular, when no humans are around they walk on two legs, and talk.

The film opens with Otis (Kevin James), a "male cow" (see below), climbing on a surfboard with a block of ice underneath it on a hill with four of his friends: Peck (Rob Paulsen), the rooster who can't crow; Pip (Jeff Garcia) the mouse, Otis's best friend; Pig (Tino Insana), the perpetually hungry pig; and Freddy (Cam Clarke), a ferret constantly battling the desire to eat Peck or the other chickens. Otis and friends fly down the mountain and eventually crash into a chicken farm. They land in the barn for a meeting being held by his adoptive father and barnyard leader, Ben the cow (Sam Elliott). Though obviously irritated by Otis's late arrival, Ben continues the meeting.

After the meeting, Ben lectures Otis on the younger cow's irresponsibility-- the cell phone call during the meeting and Otis's laid-back nature in general. The elder cow tells his son to grow up, saying that he will never be happy if he spends all his time goofing off. When Otis begins to gripe about his night watch shift, Ben tells him that, "A strong man stands up for himself. A stronger man stands up for others."

After a day spent goofing around with friends and meeting Bessy and Daisy, two new female cows, Otis talks Ben out of his guard shift in order to attend a party in the barn. Later that night, a pack of coyotes led by Dag (David Koechner) sneak into the barnyard and raid the chicken coop. Ben fights them off, but collapses after the altercation. Etta the chicken (Andie MacDowell) rushes to the barn house party and tells Otis about Ben. Otis rushes out of the barn and finds Ben, wounded, lying on the ground. He looks at Otis, as if to say something, but then passes away.

After Ben's death, Otis is elected to be the new farm leader. However, he still lacks maturity in his new position resulting in being caught in a daytime party by the farmer. Otis also leads the rebellious Jersey cows in stealing the neighbor's car to get revenge on a cow-tipping boy.

While patrolling for coyotes, Otis confronts the pack, but is easily defeated. Dag and his gang return the next day, kidnapping a bunch of chickens in broad daylight while Otis is preoccupied about leaving the farm. To make up for his mistake, Otis sets off to confront the coyotes again. He is defeated again, but his friends eventually show up and help him to send the pack fleeing. After the battle, Otis and company return to the farm where Daisy the cow gives birth to a calf she names Ben.

Meet the robinsons 2007 (cartoon)

The movie contains some important educational messages, such as not being afraid of failures since you can learn a lot from them, "always keep moving forward", and solving problems in an enlightened way instead of through revenge.

Set in 2037 and 2007, Meet the Robinsons tells the story of Lewis (Jordan Fry) - a brilliant and creative twelve-year-old orphan with a surprising number of clever inventions to his credit. However, most of Lewis' inventions don't work yet, and they get in the way of his adoption efforts because of narrow minded would-be adopters who prefer someone less creative. His latest and most ambitious project is the Memory Scanner, which lets people see their memories. The machine is supposed to help him find his birth mother so they can become a family. However, during the Science Fair where he tries to demonstrate it, the dastardly Bowler Hat Guy (Steve Anderson), a villain from the future, and his atrocious hat, DOR-15 (pronounced "Doris"), sabotage his invention.

The machine causes mayhem and Lewis runs to the orphanage roof top in frustration. While he is gone, the Bowler Hat Guy steals the invention. Lewis has all but given up hope when a mysterious stranger named Wilbur Robinson (Wesley Singerman) whisks our bewildered hero away in a time machine and together they fly into the future. Unfortunately, Lewis gets the idea to fly through time to meet his mother, and tries to drive the time machine. Wilbur objects and they fight.

The machine crashes and breaks on the grass of the Robinsons mansion, and Wilbur convinces Lewis that he must now repair it at the Robinsons Mansion, where Lewis also meets Wilbur's eccentric family and their music band of genetically enhanced singing frogs. Lewis gets attached to the family, and they even offer to adopt them. But when it is revealed that Lewis is from the past, the family says it's impossible for them to adopt him. Lewis runs away in frustration and joins the Bowler Hat Guy.

The Bowler Hat Guy reveals that Lewis is really Wilbur's dad, a famous inventor. The Bowler Hat Guy also reveals that he is actually Goob, Lewis's roommate from the orphanage. He tells Lewis of his terrible childhood after losing a crucial baseball game by falling asleep and blames it on Lewis, who worked every night on the Memory Scanner and made it hard for Goob to get sleep. He also reveals to Lewis that Lewis himself at some time invented Doris (the hat) and then disabled it and locked it up in storage, but didn't know that the hat was still operational and escaped. The Bowler Hat Guy then locks Lewis up and then takes the Memory Scanner back to the past, where he tries to patent it and trick InventCo Inc. to mass produce hats like Doris. But the hats run out of control and the entire future (where Lewis is still locked up) changes to a dark world where the hats rule the world by mind-controlling everyone who wears them, making everyone behave like zombies.

Lewis succeeds to escape and repair the time machine just at the last moment before the hats destroy it, and goes back in time to stop the Bowler Hat Guy at InventCo. He also decides there to never invent Doris, and the hat immediately dissipates into non-existence. Lewis then takes the Bowler Hat Guy with him back to the future and shows him what Doris had caused, just as the ripple effect from the past is in the process of restoring everything back to normal. The Bowler Hat Guy realizes that Doris was not really his friend, and seeks forgiveness.

The Robinsons offer to take the Bowler Hat Guy in, but he can't bring himself to be taken in and runs off. Lewis then meets his future self, and sees his amazing inventions. Lewis understands that he has to go back to the past because none of this will exist if he does not go back in time and create it, but before he goes, his wife tells him to remember that she is always right. Before taking Lewis back to where he belongs, Wilbur goes further back in time and lets Lewis see his real mother, keeping his earlier promise. After Lewis goes back to his time, he wakes Goob up at the baseball field and Goob wins the baseball game, thus granting his roommate a far happier future. He then goes back to the Science Fair and tries out his invention again. This time the memory scanner works, and he is adopted by the Science Fair judge and her husband, who he realizes are the grandparents in the future Robinsons family. Just as he finishes the demonstration, the cute girl who has a display involving frogs tells him that she is always right, and he realizes that this is his future wife, Mrs. Robinson. In the end, Lewis knows that he will have a happy future, and gains confidence to keep moving forward in life.

TMNT 2007 (cartoon)

The movie begins by telling of an ancient band of warriors, who could never be defeated in battle and who wished to conquer the world. Their leader discovered a ritual that takes place during the alignment of a certain constellation, and uses it to gain immortality. In exchange, however, the other warriors are turned into stone and thirteen monsters were released. In the present day, a village in Central America has been protected by a mysterious ghost of the jungle. April O'Neil, sent to retrieve an ancient artifact from the jungle by the wealthy Max Winters, begins to look into the stories and finds that the "ghost" is actually the Ninja Turtle Leonardo, who has been training for Master Splinter. April tells him that after the defeat of their old arch nemesis, The Shredder, the Turtles have grown apart as a family. Donatello works as an information technology consultant. Michelangelo, in order to bring money in, has taken a job as a masked children's birthday party character (known as "Cowabunga Carl"). No one is sure what Raphael is up to, but it is revealed that he has been scouring the streets at night as a masked vigilante, the Nightwatcher, taking a page from Casey Jones' book.[1] Struggling to keep the family together, Splinter then realizes that strange things are starting to happen in New York, ones that include his sons.

Immortal tech-industrialist Max Winters, who attempted to conquer the world three thousand years ago by amassing an army of monsters using an ancient device to open a portal during an alignment of nine stars, is seemingly at work at the plot again. In the process, he reawakens his siblings, called the "Stone Generals", from their sleep (the four having been recovered unknowingly by April). Furthermore, Winters has enlisted the help of Karai, a minion of the erstwhile Shredder,[2] who is intent on restoring the glory of her late master. Karai has assumed leadership of the fearsome Foot Clan and throughout the majority of the film, she is an elusive, adept ninja and commander who directs her troops in accordance with Winters' wishes of opening the portal.

As the film progresses, the Turtles reacquaint with one another and enlist the help of their old allies, Casey Jones and April O'Neil, in order to put a stop to Winters' plans and save the world. Leonardo returns to New York City and re-assumes the leadership of his brothers, though this creates much contention between Raph and Leo; much of the movie focuses on the discord between the two, ending in a duel between the them which Raph feels will determine the true leader of the Turtles. The battle grows on and ends with Raphael the victor. Raphael's sais were intertwined with Leonardo's katanas and the last strike breaks the katana blades and Raphael pins Leonardo to the ground. Coming to the realization of what he had done and fearing his actions, Raphael runs off. Leonardo is assaulted soon after this, and is captured by the Stone Generals, who have turned against Winters in not wanting to return to being a mortal. Hearing Leonardo's painful scream, Raphael runs back to track the usurpers, though to no avail.

Raphael returns home angry with himself and, much like Leonardo before him, calls upon Master Splinter for leadership advice. Raphael admits to his sensei that he realizes why Leonardo was chosen over him. Splinter reminds him that while he may not be the greatest student, that does not make him any less the old rat's son; Raphael, like Leonardo, is a strong, loyal and brave warrior, but in order to be a leader these qualities must be tempered by humility and patience. The old rat decides that the time for hiding is now over. The three brothers then set out to save Leonardo and, with the help of Splinter, Jones, and O'Neil, they take on the Foot in their attempt to rescue Leonardo. They rescue their leader and Raphael has new katana blades for Leonardo. Raphael then asks Leonardo to lead them and mentions that they need him. In a touching scene of brotherly love, Leonardo returns the statement, "I need you, too [on this team]!" With that statement, the team is finally whole.

Although Winters is considered evil by the Turtles and their allies throughout the film, he ultimately is redeemed by his good intentions; his motives for opening the portal were to return thirteen beasts already released to where they came from, return his siblings to mortality and flesh, and restore his own mortality. One of the Soldiers realizes Winters' true intentions and begins to rally the others into mutiny, though the Turtles ultimately thwart this attempt, with the help of Jones, O'Neil, the Foot Clan and Master Splinter. After the battle is won, Karai says that even though the Foot Clan helped them this time, they will return for revenge with the help of "familiar faces", implying the return of the Shredder. The brothers look at each other in astonishment, with Raph saying, "You don't think she means...". Karai and the rest of the Foot ninjas vanish in a puff of smoke.

Winters, after thanking April, Casey, and the Turtles for their help of returning his mortality, levitates into the air and disentegrates, leaving only his helmet. The next scene shows Splinter back at the lair placing Winters' helmet on a shelf along with other helmets and artifacts from the Turtles adventures. These include the Shredder's helm, the TGRI vial, and several samurai masks. Raphael asks if he has room for one more, and places his Nightwatcher helmet on the shelf. Mikey then asks if he can put his Cowabunga Carl mask in there with them. The film ends with the Turtles jumping and flipping over rooftops of the city with Raphael's voiceover, "We live together, train together, and fight together and that's why we'll always be...brothers. Oh, I love bein' a turtle!"

Asterix et les vikings 2006 (cartoon)

As the story begins, the Vikings are depressed because in raid after raid they find the locations devoid of people. Crytograf, an advisor to Viking chief Timdahaf, says that the enemies are always gone because, "Fear gives them wings". Timandahaf excitedly concludes that they must find a "Champion of Fear", who can teach them to be great cowards so they can fly, making them invincible. The chief says he'll give anything to whoever can bring him this Champion of Fear. Crypograf hatches a secret plan to seize power and tells the chief they'll find the Champion of Fear in Gaul.

During a typical day in the Gaulish village, chief Vitalstatistix announces the imminent arrival of his nephew Justforkix who is to be trained to be a man. When Justforkix arrives from Parisium, he doesn't look like warrior material. He uses his bird SMS (Shortmessageservix) to send messages to his "babes". Besides chasing girls, he's into hi-tech, nightlife, and dancing—and he's a vegetarian, much to the dismay of Obelix, who can't get him to try wild boar.

On Iceland, as the Vikings prepare to start their quest, the chief's wife, Vikea, orders her husband to get her some flat-packed easy-to-assemble furniture from his raids, while his daughter, Abba, insists on going along, but is flatly refused. Abba disguises herself as a man and goes anyway.

Back in Gaul, the training of Justforkix under the direction of Asterix and Obelix is proceeding, but with little, if any, success. He runs screaming from any danger and refuses to drink potion. Upon their arrival in Gaul, Crypograf explains to his incredibly stupid son, Olaf, that he must capture the Champion of Fear, and claim the prize of anything he wants, which Crypograf says is the chief's daughter, Abba. Since the chief has no son, this would put Olaf in line to be the next chief (with Crypograf calling the shots, of course).

Justforkix is captured by Olaf, and Asterix and Obelix must go to retrieve him before the next full moon when his father, Doublehelix, is expected at their village. Asterix and Obelix arrive on Iceland shortly after the Vikings, but they can't rescue Justforkix. He doesn't want to leave because he considers the Vikings (especially Abba) to be his friends. After our heros' retreat, the Vikings decide to test Justforkix's flying skills by throwing him off a cliff. Crypograf secretly rigs up a rope to Justforkix allowing him to be suspended in the foggy air, convincing the Vikings that he really can fly.

The Vikings rush off to the wedding ceremony leaving the Champion of Fear dangling, and Asterix and Obelix return just in time to rescue him before the rope breaks. On the way to Gaul, Justforkix sneaks some magic potion from Asterix and swims back to stop the wedding and rescue Abba. Later, he discovers that he really can fly as he rescues Abba from another precarious spot using a hang glider improvised from a ship's mast and sail.

Back in the Gaulish village, everyone gathers to celebrate the wedding of Justforkix and Abba, and the Vikings finally experience real fear when they hear a ballad sung by Cacofonix.

Shakalaka Boom Boom 2007 (bollywood)

The movie revolves around two men with a similar passion - music.

AJ (Bobby Deol) is playing a ruthless manipulative composer, based on the main character of Antonio Salieri in the 1984 American Movie 'Amadeus'. He has reached where he is through hard work and dedication. He is used to winning, he revels in it and will never allow anybody to overtake him. He is jealous of a new artist/composer, Reggi, who supposed has more talent, but obviously uses the same composer and playback singers and is only marginally different to the ears.

Reggi (Upen Patel), based on an unsympathetic adaption of Amadeus Mozart, is a talented and upcoming singer. Young and naturally talented, Reggi hungers for what AJ has. Reggi works hard to alienate people and create enemies, then wallows in self pity when these same people are alienated and act as his ememies. Reggi is good looking, can dance and his playback singers have talent, marginally different (but not better) than AJ. Upen Patel just had a good performance in a supporting role in 'Namaste, London', so we shall assume bad writing and bad directing.

Ruhi (Kangana Ranaut), who has uneven lip collagen injections, is an aspiring singer who looks up to AJ but she has fallen head over heels for Reggi. Ruhi tells us that Reggi is funny, but there is not a single indication of this; as he is as personable as a stalker.

Sheena (Celina Jaitley) is a gorgeous and ambitious PR professional. Sheena goes all out to promote Reggi and Reggi treats her poorly then whines when she is alienated.

There is a lot of pretentious vain drama in this flick as the story involves a lot of petty emotions.

Formulaic bollywood music is the sole survivor in the film, as the unsympathetic characters self destruct.

This movie claims to be broadly based on the life of Himesh Reshamiya, but is shamelessly lifted directly from the 1984 American Movie, "Amadeus'.

Cyrus (Naseeruddin Shah) lives with his wife Shernaz (Sarika) , son Parzan (Parzan Dastur) and daughter Dilshad (Pearl Barsiwala).Through Cyrus's family, and the teachings of an old Indian scholar, Allan starts to find peace of mind, right before the rest of the country loses its sanity. One morning, the beauty and peace in India is stirred beyond measure, as a fire erupts in a train killing 58 Hindus.

Within 24 hours, 100,000 citizens storm into Ahmedabad and slaughter thousands of Muslims, making that day one of the largest acts of communal violence the country has ever seen. And in the midst of the terror and violence, Parzan disappears.

While Cyrus fights for his own sanity and searches for his child, Allan battles to uncover the truth behind the riots and any possible meaning to the insanity he has witnessed. People start to question the explanations they are given and a Human Rights Commission is formed. But will the truth finally be out? Does any of it matter to a distraught family that just wants to find their little boy?
